5. David Fonseca's webisodes about SXSW'07

In 2007, Portuguese musicians returned to South by Southwest afte first appearance in 2002 by “The Gift”.”X-wife”, “ You Should Go Ahead” and “David Fonseca” were the Portuguese representation. By then, David Fonseca was making the first of two appearances at the festival and another to come ahead. In order to share a little about his journey to Austin, David Fonseca decided to innovate and created a video blog for which he recorded 8 web episodes where he talks about the festival, about Austin, about the participating bands and about his experiences at SXSW.

The first web episode is also an introduction to this world of video blogs, however, from the first part onwards, one can see and listen to David talking about his expectations about his first adventure at Austin.

In the second web episode, we can see some of the SXSW'07 rehearsals and the beginning of the journey through the Atlantic. For those who never endured such a journey, I can only say that sometimes it takes over 10 hours…that feels endless!

In the third web episode we’re entitled to….rain! We can see dome of city images and a first rehearsal in the hotel bedroom.

The fourth episode shows an early performance at an Austin’s radio station and later the concert at Spiro’s.

In the fifth episode, the SXSW convention centre, the street life in Austin and a little of Martha Wainright’s concert (Rufus Wainright's sister), Joan as a Policewoman, Richard Swift and Amy Winehouse!

In the sixth web episode, David talks about some of the artists that he saw performing at SXSW and it ends with the Polyphonic Spree and Au Revoir Simone performances.

The seventh episode was done recurring to one of the most originals angles to shoot a video. There he shares some thoughts about the best names to give to a band!

The eight episode it's the SXSW’07 farewell.

Tomorrow, 2008 web episodes.
