“Internet everywhere” might be the subject of the first half of today (11pm in Portugal while here it’s 4pm). This should be regarded as a free lesson to follow by Portugal and others. I’m writing at St. David’s Church where tonight Clã and Nicole Eitner will perform, while Nicole Eitner rehearses with the violinist who will appear somewhere in the middle of her concert... yes, during the concert since in the first part he’ll be receiving an Award for a project in which he participates.
Meanwhile, i did the Festival registration in the morning: - contrary to my worst expectations It was done in 10 minutes! The organisation is very good as they can process very efficiently thousands of people that are here. Straight afterwards I met Pedro Ramos of Radio Radar who didn’t knew the Chronicles of Austin. He dragged me to the street, for an interview in movement. He wanted to know about the blog and what made me go to the SXSW’09! Thank you Pedro – See also at the Radar broadcasting and blog to check what’s happening at SXSW.
A stop by at Convention Centre with Nicole provided me with some interesting pictures that I’ll place here later. Afterwards, a walk through the 6th Street, where the quantity of bands and musicians already playing were immense despite the fact that it was relatively early. In a little more than 1 Km I managed to listen to more than 20 concerts!
See you soon!
